DUI Wyoming Style

Only a Wyomingite could think of this ... From the county where drunk driving is considered a sport, comes this true story.

Recently a routine police patrol parked outside a bar in Baggs , Wyo. After last call the officer noticed a man leaving the bar so intoxicated that he could barely walk. The man stumbled around the parking lot for a few minutes, with the officer quietly observing.

After what seemed an eternity and trying his keys on five different vehicles, the man managed to find his car which he fell into. He sat there for a few minutes as a number of other patrons left the bar and drove off.

Finally he started the car, switched the wipers on and off (it was a fine, dry summer night) -- flicked the blinkers on, then off a couple of times, honked the horn and then switched on the lights. He moved the vehicle forward a few inches, reversed a little and then remained still for a few more minutes as some more of the other patron vehicles left. At last, the parking lot empty, he pulled out of the parking lot and started to drive slowly down the road.

The police officer, having patiently waited all this time, now started up the patrol car, put on the flashing lights, and promptly pulled the man over and carried out a breathalyzer test.

To his amazement the breathalyzer indicated no evidence of the man having consumed any alcohol at all! Dumbfounded, the officer said, "I'll have to ask you to accompany me to the police station. This breathalyzer equipment must be broken." "I doubt it," said the truly proud Cowboy. "Tonight I'm the designated decoy."

Tonight's nonSPECIAL blogcast was brought to anyone and everyone by BTR, aka BLOG TALK RADIO. BLOGTALKRADIO was adamant in having BTR staff on hand to make sure that LEX LUTHOR and friends were broadcast interruption free and any questions would be addressed post haste. However, none of the BlogTalkRadio staff were able to be on the show due to problems beyond their control. Amy, Techno Bob, Alan, Georgia, and whoever else works there or near there were able to honor prior commitments of being on the show.

When asked, Lex Luthor was advised, go to the Bahamas and in all fairness, BTR should remunerate this experience set up by the non performance of BTR. So if any fans of Lex Luthor believe that BTR should not be responsible for the trip to the Bahamas, simply leave a why not note on the blog.!!

BTR Update

It appears that BlogTalkRadio is still trying to resolve the problem that occurred last Friday on Lex Luthor Presents. During last week's show, any and all callers who tried to access the switchboard were greeted unsuccessfully. Lex Luthor was personally monitoring the switchboard as call volume was expected to be higher for this show. However, it seems that technical difficulties were going to dominate another episode: episode number 3! Amy, with Blog Talk Radio, was quick to call on Saturday and it appears that she assigned this issue with "Techno Specialist" Bob.

While we wait to hear from Bob and/or someone at BlogTalkRadio, we would once again like to take this opportunity to apologize to our listeners and those who were trying to call in. Thank you for your support and we hope to have news for you shortly. Until then, by special request, we have moved Teai's video back up to the top of the page for your viewing pleasure.

Mobocracy! Order and chaos, the balance between the 2 are and always have been the catalyst of being. Last Friday, Lex Luthor hosted another episode of Chaotic Knights with special guest Douglas Gibbs and 1 noticeably silent, Dr. Phil Night: recent inductee to the Honorary Knights.

Howard K Stern, our scheduled featured guest, canceled at the last minute for reasons beyond our control. Mr. Stern did however extend an invitation to meet with us as early as next month possibly in the Bahamas.

"It would be great to meet Howard in the Bahamas; who knows, maybe I could catch a ride with Mark Steines: that would be an excellent twist for my readers! Being live where so much of the story is developing would be excellent!", according to Lex Luthor. The latest BTR "on air" problems that Lex Luthor Presents experienced are creating questionable challenges and possibly opening new opportunities for Lex and friends. One immediate change Lex Luthor is contemplating deals with "Live Radio": the ability to effectively control any deficiencies that may develop far outweigh any "perceived" advantage of being "live." In fact, the producers had recently discussed a moratorium on callers.

Friday's problems occurred immediately after our "subsitute" guest, Douglas Gibs called in. The switchboard stopped working on the night that Howard K Stern was to be "live" with Lex Luthor! The only communications that were available were Instant Messenger and e-mail. According to a comment posted on our guest's blog, SEVERAL people tried to call in with no success.


Friends of Lex Luthor, after having commented privately seemed unanimous where the topic of BTR was concerned. Starting today, LLP will focus its "BlogTalkRadio" concerns on the "Chaotic Knights" genre. Chaotic Knights was created as a direct result of technical difficulties incurred on Lex Luthor Presents: Tisha Best was indeed the 1st Honorary Inductee of the Chaotic Knights.
Due to these recent events, LLP will be modifying the scheduling of guests for 2007: updates will be posted here.

Lex Luthor Presents - Friday Knights

Tonight's Special Guest, Howard K. Stern, will not be able to join us this evening. A spokesman for Mr. Stern regrets that he will be unable to join Lex Luthor Presents and address some of the questions that have been raised this week: especially, the wild and ludicrous accusations of murder. Howard anticipates rescheduling his commitments with both Mark Steines and Lex Luthor by the end of March.

Joining us tonight in this edition of Choatic Knights is none other than Douglas Gibbs, author/creator of Political Pistachio who with a little help from his friend, the Night Rider, will rip in to a few other questions that seem to be filing in!

Teai "Luthor"

In the "summer of 1984", Lex Luthor sighted immediate talent of the time in the name of Teai Benet. The 2 of us had our own interpretations and immediate goals for domination: hers was the music industry and mine was her and the world! Progress was immediate and continues. By day, Houston real estate was my focus and Teai was creating new material for her first album. Nights were all about clubbing and getting hammered! It was excellent; especially if you did NOT have a day job! I did.

In June, her manager seemed to want to break up the act: the act of us! We were having a great time, but perhaps he was right; maybe I was a distraction and that had to be considered.

After a solid month of partying, it was time for a vacation! I had planned a trip to Greece long before I met Teai and I thought it would be a great place for both of us! However, her manager did not approve of this idea and decided it was time to take the show west.

In July I flew to Oia, Santorini and stayed in Europe for 2 months. Teai moved to Hollywood. We have not seen each other since, but I did talk with her: she was doing well and her songs were climbing the charts in Europe!

In a reflective moment, Lex Luthor wonders how the future would look today had the 2 of us remained a unit with little unities: 1 bald son and 1 Mohawk daughter! Thoughts? LexLuthor@ShopFromHomepage.com
